Stepping into the role
Wyoming leans on the federal rule (42 CFR 483.152): nurse-aide training is conducted by or under the general supervision of a registered nurse, and the RN instructor must have the federal minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in long-term care. Wyoming layers on WSBN Education Committee approval of the program syllabus plus OHLS program approval. A distinct Wyoming-specific instructor experience number beyond the federal standard was not located in a primary source.
